Sleep Singing and my ONE YEAR MARK

I've been a missionary for a whole year. That's crazy! I don't even know what I think about it, but it's fun to be companions with my MTC companion to celebrate it together. haha I love sister Pearson! She is so funny and always talks about dirt bikes and about trucks and I don't understand any of it, but I am learning a lot! Haha she's a ford fan so Dad and Jacob would probably like to chat with her. She's great.

This week has been good! It's been stressful here and there. Just from MLC and zone training, but I love it. Stress is good. Keeps me on my toes! Probably the thing that stressed me out the most this week was at MLC when President asked me, "are you doing okay?"  I said, "yeah!" Then he asked me again, "really though, you're doing alright?".....He asked me twice! Which got me thinking about it. I really was doing okay! :) but I thought about it for a bit after that and the more I thought about it the more stressed I got! Haha I don't know why, but I guess I just haven't been asked that for a while, so I haven't thought about it. We are so busy with our two wards and all our great sisters that there really isn't much time to think about ourselves. I love it! But I think it was good for me to think about how I am doing for a minute. Somehow it has been a humbling and comforting experience for me as I've thought about it and I've grown because of it. I know that as I stay focused and fulfill my purpose the Lord will take care of me. There's not much to worry about! :)

The real things that stress me out are my investigators. One minute they're solid and the next... But this week has been good! We met with Brian! I don't think I have talked about Brian yet. We tracted into him a couple of weeks ago. He has been blind for the past 20 years. Not sure exactly what happened, but he says it is because he only believed in God 99.9%. Now he believes 100%. Which is awesome! We need to be 100%. I've never taught a blind person, so it has been a different experience, but he is great! Very knowledgeable about the bible and is open to learning more and reading the Book of Mormon. I didn't know this, but there is a way for blind people to use the computer! It just reads everything to you that is on the screen- super fast! We couldn't even understand what it was saying because he has it on such a high speed, then he said, "aw this guy talks too slow"...what?! Haha so he'll finish the Book of Mormon in no time with it at that speed.

We met with our recent convert Jennifer and her daughter Taylor sat in! Jennifer is so awesome and totally taught the whole plan of salvation to her daughter and now she is on date to be baptized! Taylor is awesome and we are excited to keep working with her. MLC was great and the zone training went great as well. I learned a lot! Sister Pearson and I lead a discussion on faith, humility, charity, love, and the doctrine of Christ. The one that has stood out to me the most is humility. I’m trying to realize my weaknesses which is in turn helping me to be humble. Weaknesses have always made me nervous, especially when others realize my weaknesses. But I am striving to be humble and seeking guidance from the Lord to make them my strengths. Ether 12:27 has always been one of my favorite scriptures, "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."

Also this week I went on exchanges with Sister Harward! She is from Orem and is a great missionary. I love being able to learn so much from all of the sisters and seeing them grow. Oh! and she knows Katelyn's companion! Crazy huh!? Small world. I also found out that I sing in my sleep, so that's new. Welp I hope you've had a great week and that this week will be even better!
I love you all :)

Temple Trip!

Sorry I didn't get time to write yesterday, but here's a quick up of the week...well mostly just what happened yesterday! :) I can't think of anything too crazy that has happened so far this week...just transfers, but nothing happened to us with that. I did get to see Sister Bell for a second! That was fun :) Love her so much. Probably the last time that I'll see her as a missionary. We did have another sister with us for a day while she waited for her companion, Sister Freeman. So that was fun to be in a trio for a day!

Yesterday was amazing. We got up at dark thirty to leave for the temple and the other sisters were suppose to meet us at the member's house who were taking us, but they never came and they weren't answering their phone or anything! So we all drove over to the bishop's house where they live to see if they were still there and they were! Luckily they live out of town a bit so no one locks their doors, so we walked on in, ran down stairs, flipped on the lights and woke them up real good! :) Then we were on our way! Turns out they set their alarms for pm not am. haha I have missed going to the temple so much. It's been too long! We were there from 8am to 6pm!!! :) We did a little bit of everything in there just all day long. Such a good day!! Jennifer and Michelle were there and did baptisms! It was amazing how strong the spirit was. Especially when Jennifer was baptized for her grandma. There was just a different feeling, even the guy baptizing her teared up as he read her name. I love love love the temple. Always miracles there. :)

On our drive I read a few talks about temples and these were some parts that stood out to me, "The temple is also a place of refuge, thanksgiving, instruction, and understanding, “that [we] may be perfected … in all things pertaining to the kingdom of God on the earth.” It is wonderful to leave the cares of the world behind in that sacred setting." ..."As we go to the temple, as we remember the covenants we make there, we will be better able to overcome those temptations and to bear our trials. In the temple we can find peace. The blessings of the temple are priceless." I've never found the peace that I’ve felt in the temple anywhere else.

I love the temple and the amazing work that happens there. I am so grateful to have the fullness of the gospel here on the earth today. The blessings truly are priceless!
I love you all! Have a great week!

We Got Chased by a Goose!

This week has been crazy and great! Also for some reason, one of the weirdest weeks of my mission. Transfer news! We are staying! Wahoo! We weren't at all expecting to be going anywhere :) I'm so excited for this coming transfer!

The craziest part of this week was when we got chased by a goose! We were out tracting and we were walking down a driveway when we came around a truck and we stopped. There was a goose! For sure the biggest goose I've ever seen and he was not a happy goose. He had his head down and he was slowly walking towards us, then I said, "oh no!" And screamed (probably shouldn't have done that) and as I started to turn around he started to run at us! Oh man we ran so fast! Haha it was so scary! I haven't ran that fast in a really long time.. We know that the owners were home too because we saw them outside just a few minutes before, so I can only imagine they were inside just laughing so hard! Hahaha I hope they recorded it.

Other great parts! Brandy and Nickole came to church! We were running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to find them both a skirt so they would come to church, but we did it! They also said they
have a problem waking up, so at 7am we came and knocked on their door and all their windows! Haha they woke up. And at church they were still pretty loud and crazy for 27 & 25 year olds haha eating chips and stuff, but the ward loves them and is welcoming them in well. They are doing good and progressing well, but Brandy is still deciding if baptism is something she is ready for in her life. Keep her in your prayers!

We had another investigator at church too! She is a girlfriend of a less active member. She is at a place in her life where she feels like something is missing and she doesn't feel that she fits in well with most religions, so she thought she would try this out! She has a lot of potential and we are excited for her! We are loving being a part of the 5th ward now! The members are great and so funny! there is a lot of potential in that area! We met a family that we will be teaching this week, so we are pretty excited about that. Sister Pearson and I are happy to be together still! We are looking forward to this coming transfer. I love serving here in Helena. :)

This week I read an awesome talk from the April general conference 2013 called catch the wave. You might remember that talk? It's all about missionary work and "catching the wave" of it all. There is a part that I love that says,  "This wave of truth and righteousness is wondrous! It is not manmade! It comes from the Lord, who said, “I will hasten my work in its time.” This wave is empowered by a divine announcement made 193
years ago. It consisted of only seven words: “This is My Beloved Son. Hear Him!” Uttered by Almighty God, That announcement introduced a young Joseph Smith to the Lord Jesus Christ. Those seven words launched the Restoration of His gospel. Why? Because our living God is a loving God! He wants His children to know Him and Jesus Christ, whom He has sent! And He wants His children to gain immortality and eternal life!" I love this! God loves us SO much that he has brought forth the fullness of His gospel here on the earth today! We are so blessed to be on the earth at this time. Read the Book of Mormon. Pray. Go to
church. Learn how you can better have a knowledge of this restored gospel :) I promise you will never regret it. It is what brings me so much happiness everyday and it can do the same for you too!

I love being a missionary and being able to tell people about this glorious message everyday :)
You all are the best! Have the best week ever!
Love,
Sister Anderson

Oh! and other funny part of the week... Sister Pearson and I were late for appointment so we were running to the car and some neighborhood kids started yelling, "Run forest run!" Hahah

Ps. We are going to the temple this Friday! Wahoo! Jennifer and Michelle are doing baptisms :) They were both baptized within the last 2 months. Michelle just got called to be the relief society secretary!
She's awesome.

Tracting, more Tracting, and Mothers Day!!

It was SO GOOD to talk with the family yesterday! You people just make me so happy!! Well I don't have much to say since I talked with ya yesterday, but it was a good week! With our exchanges this week I went out to our new ward that we have now. There isn't a ton going on over there at the moment, so we tracted all day! It was so awesome! That area is just oozing with potential. It's going to be a process, but we are excited to get things going there.

One person that we met is Ekikah! He's from Hawaii and has been here since December helping out his family. We first saw him when we drove by and he was out walking his dogs, then later on we saw him riding down the road on his bike, so we stopped him! He's super nice and open to learning more! He says he's been to a lot of churches in his life, we invited him to come to ours, and he said he would! So we're excited to see where that goes.

We also met a guy that really liked to talk. A lot! Couldn't totally tell where his interest level was, but I felt there was a reason that we met him. We eventually got talking about people around him and he told us about his neighbor whose wife is struggling health wise and they are trying to raise their granddaughter. He told us they could use a visit! So we went over and we really didn't need to say anything. Right away he said, "I would love to sit down and visit with you guys sometime!"  We are excited for him too. He'll probably be a bishop one day. :)

It's been a good week :) Being a missionary is the best! Itchick ano waba

Prison Cheesecake

This week has gone by so quickly I don't know where to begin. We are continuing to see a lot of miracles here in Helena! One of our investigators made us LEGIT prison cheese cake! It was made out of Oreos, coffee creamer, Hershey, and Sprite. That's it! It was SO GOOD. I got the recipe, no worries. :) I'll make it for y'all.

So another miracle from last week that I forgot to add was Brandy and Nickole! The bishop asked us to go and see Nickole because she had just moved here, so we set that up and went over and she had a nonmember friend that is living there with her for a bit. Brandy has been through alot in her life and it is such a perfect time for her to be learning about the gospel! Last night we were with them and we were teaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. Nickole was feeling pretty sick and as we were teaching I kept feeling like we should ask if she wanted a priesthood blessing, so once we got to the baptism part of the lesson we talked about the priesthood and we asked if she would like a priesthood blessing. And she said yes, so we texted the elders and they were there within a few minutes! After the blessing this sister felt so much better, then once the elders left, the investigator decided that she would like one too. So we quickly got the elders back and they gave her a great blessing. She was in tears after they finished and we were able to set a date for her to be baptized! The priesthood power is incredible and real.

Sorry this is a short email, but I can't wait see you on Mother's Day! I love you all!
